Making signs make business since 1989
Acrylic Letters, Flex Letters, Pronto Letters. What's the difference? There are different thickness and different characteristics. From least expensive to most durable: FLEX/PVC letters are 0.020 to 0.025" thick. They are thinner than a credit card, and designed for people on a strict budget. Best for temporary signs with little or no wind. Sizes Acrylic Letters are available in 0.030 to 0.090" thick, and are our "general use" letters, good for most signs. They are made from sheets of cut acrylic plastic, and screen printed on the surface. Thicker letters tend to stay where they are placed. Sizes Pronto Letters are our best value. These are made from injection-molded plastic, and are screen printed with a protective clear finish, and with "feet" molded in, to keep them from freezing into a track in the winter. These sometimes cost less than the thickest acrylic letters. Styles \| back to top.	Which kind of Track do I need? Rule of thumb; For Flex/pvc letters, and for acrylic letters up to 0.030" thickness, use Flex track. For Acrylic letters 0.060" to 0.090" thickness, use PUDD (Push-Up, Drop-Down) track. For Pronto Letters, use our Polycarbonate Pronto Track This is "Planked" acrylic face with track How much Track do I need? We sell track in handy ten-piece kits (good for up to four lines of changeable copy on TWO sides of a 4 x 8 foot sign), and we also sell the track in economic sets of 100 pieces back to top.	Which plastic face is best for my sign(s)? You can buy complete plastic sign faces in Fiberglass (economy), Acrylic (flat face with or without track), new polyflute fluted polycarbonate and pan-formed Polycarbonate, for superior break resistance. Our Economy Fiberglass faces work well for portable readerboards and temporary sign uses. Acrylic faces are made for long life, and available in one week for standard sizes, or 2-3 weeks with track and custom sizes. New PolyFlute is light weight, at 1/3rd the weight of acrylic, UV solar grade to resist yellowing, and has an impact strength8 times greater than acrylic. It is 1/4" thick, and available with track for 0.060" and Pronto Letter Sets only. Polycarbonate pan-formed panels are the heaviest, strongest panels you can find. The pan-forming gives the entire sign more structural strength, and are designed to be resistant to strong wind gusts. back to top.
